Watch as Time Stands Still in Déraciné’s Launch Trailer

deracine launch trailer

Déraciné, a joint project between FromSoftware and Japan Studio, will be landing on the PlayStation VR soon. Ahead of its release, a brief launch trailer has arrived, teasing what the experience has to offer.

Check out the Déraciné launch trailer in the video below:

During E3 2018Déraciné was surprisingly announced after the PlayStation press briefing. Apart from a cryptic trailer, very little was said about the title at the time. In the few months since, FromSoftware and Japan Studio have been more forthcoming. For instance, director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained the inspirations behind this unique experience—his love of storytelling, and his and the team’s desire to develop something “different.”

The trailer’s video description details the following about Déraciné:

Déraciné is an upcoming story adventure game from Sony Interactive Entertainment, SIE Japan Studio, FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki, known for their collaboration on Bloodborne. Taking the role as an unseen faerie in a secluded boarding school, the player moves around in frozen time, collecting various bits of information that serve to unfold an overarching mystery. The story is a new take on classic adventure games and utilizes PS VR’s technology to take gamers on an entirely unique and personal experience.

Explore the mysterious world of Déraciné when it hits the PlayStation VR on November 6, 2018. FromSoftware fans can venture into yet another one of the company’s creations next year. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be released on March 22, 2019.

The NFL Is Bringing Football to Fortnite

fortnite nfl gear

Two of the biggest media forces have teamed up for some football fun. Epic Games and the NFL are partnering to bring football-themed items to Fortnite. Players can select a uniform from any NFL team and put any number from 1 to 99 on it. However, if you’re not loyal to a certain team, there’s also a basic uniform unique to Fortnite. In addition, the uniforms will be available for both male and female avatars.

The announcement coincided with a video showing the uniforms in action:

There will also be a special referee skin, if you’d prefer to watch the action from the sidelines.

The football craziness isn’t just for skins, however. There will also be football-themed emotes, harvesting tools, and gliders, though we haven’t gotten a glimpse of those yet.

Interestingly, this is the first time Epic has teamed up with an outside company to create in-game gear. However, this it has engaged in some cross-promotion before. Back in May 2018, Avengers: Infinity War baddie Thanos came to Fortnite for a special Limited Time Event.

Recently, the Fortnite map went through a huge overhaul. Loot Lake transformed into a group of small islands after the Cube exploded. This followed the rollout of the 6.21 update, which introduced balloons.

Are you excited to show off your love of football in Fortnite? Let us know!

Red Dead Redemption 2 Players Are Glitching Into Mexico

Red Dead Redemption 2 Mexico

While Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world game, it still has its limits. The most obvious example is that the edges of the world are blocked by invisible walls, a common occurrence in most games. This barrier prevents players from traveling to Mexico, but some people have found a way across the border.

YouTuber ZarCoxTV has made his way to Mexico thanks to a slight “crack” in the wall. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to complete the campaign to access these areas of the map.

To get there, you’ll need a lot of stamina tonics, health tonics, food, and patience. If you cross the San Luis River, manage to get your horse above some rocks, and glitch slide your way through the invisible wall, you can make it to the other country. However, if you want to actually explore, you’ll need to use a cheat code to spawn a horse. Otherwise, you’ll be extremely limited on foot.

While the area is mostly empty, there are a few locations present, like El Presidio and a tunnel for railroad tracks. As this YouTuber pointed out, the community has theories that Red Dead Online will start in Mexico, but Rockstar Games has yet to release any details regarding the game’s online component. We do know that those playing on the PlayStation 4 will get early access to some features when the mode launches sometime in November 2018.
