God of War PS4 About to Hit 1 Billion YouTube Views in Record Time

God of War YouTube views

Now, I don’t know about you guys, but for the past month I’ve been taking my sweet time and enjoying every aspect of Sony’s God of War. Also, judging by a bunch of recently released stats, I am not the only one enjoying the game. Apart from being the fastest selling PS4 exclusive, God of War has also been the most downloaded PS4 game in both the US and the UK.

Today, data analyst website Matchmade has shared some interesting numbers. During April, God of War has gathered 728 million views on YouTube, the world’s largest public online video service. God of War is now the third most viewed game on YouTube, right behind games like Minecraft and, as you’d expect, the insanely popular game, Fortnite.

Epic Game’s Fornite has reached 1 billion views in five months and was the fastest game in YouTube’s history to pull that off. Should God of War maintain this momentum, it will most likely reach the milestone by June or July.

Ya know, for a single-player game that doesn’t involve battle royale-style action, or building 3D ships from Star Wars and Star Trek, that is one amazing statistic.

If you’d like to find out more about God of War, check out our review of the game.

EA BioWare Releases Tiny Anthem E3 2018 Teaser

Anthem gameplay footage

Last month we’ve received all sorts of reports regarding BioWare’s upcoming release, Anthem. Today, we’ve managed to catch a glimpse of this tiny brand new trailer that offers some footage from the game. Okay, you’ll probably shoot me down in flames, because the clip is only a three measly seconds long. Still, the Anthem gameplay footage that’s shown is clearly just a petite teaser that’s supposed to remind us about the upcoming E3 show.

Here ya go, folks:

Yeah, that was a delicious three seconds. While we’re waiting for more info let’s just reflect on what we know for a bit. When questioned about the Anthem release, EA’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen said, “Since [Anthem] is new IP, we’re being conservative in how we’re thinking about it.” Jorgensen also added that Anthem “is extremely unique and… players are going to really enjoy playing it.”

We also know that Anthem will be playable before launch. Now, what’s been worrying some people is the departure of folks like Drew Karpyshyn. Thankfully, BioWare said that Drew’s departure won’t impact Anthem’s development.

To cut a long story short, more stuff we’ll be revealed come E3 2018. So far we know that there will be a new trailer, new Anthem gameplay footage and a combat showcase. BioWare will have their own panel at the show, to uncover additional things about the game.

During the E3, the devs intend to explain more about Anthem’s story, characters and monsters. The Anthem gameplay footage is going to cover fighting, flying and looting. In addition, the combat system, which is also going to be part of the showcase, will feature more of the Javelin exosuit in action. We’ve seen the suit in the game’s debut trailer last year.

Latest Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr Trailer Shows Off More Gameplay

warhammer 40k inquisitor martyr trailer

Despite the game being pushed back a bit later into the summer, some brand new footage on the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr has been released, courtesy of a new gameplay trailer of the game that NeocoreGames released earlier this morning. In it, we get a pretty good look at some of the major elements coming when the game fully releases.

As described earlier, the game was recently pushed back from its June 5 release to what was originally described as “later in the summer” but has since been confirmed by Neocore Games to be July 5, 2018. In the announcement, the reasoning behind the delay was revealed to be the studio wanting to ensure the games final details were refined enough:

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is an ambitious action-RPG, with vast and complex mechanics. With such an immense gameplay experience – entirely redesigned for console players – the development studio, Neocore, will need additional time to perfect the game’s unique functionalities, such as local multiplayer and procedural map generation. In order to ensure the best possible quality of the game, the development team is taking this extra time to refine the final details of the game.

Though a delay for the game is bound to upset fans, pushing it back a month isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of things.

For more information on the upcoming game, check out a description of the game below courtesy of Neocore Games:

Forge your own playstyle with different character classes and specializations: hold your ground with the Crusader Inquisitor while enemies close in on you, bring in your finesse and cunning with the Death Cult Assassin background, or use the unspeakable powers of the Warp with the Primaris Psyker background. Choose from three specializations for each classes that fit your playstyle.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will launch on July 5, 2018, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
