Today, Coatsink – the studio behind VR titles A Night Sky and Augmented Empire – have announced that they will be bringing their first mobile VR title, Esper, to PlayStation VR, Oculus Go, and Xiaomi Mi this week on June 29th. The game, which originally launched back in 2015, will also be getting an HTC Vive launch on July 6th. In Esper, players will be put in the shoes of a citizen going through an aptitude test to determine if you can control telekinetic abilities.
Through the use of VR, players will have to use their ability to move various objects in order to solve a number of puzzles found in the game. Tom Beardsmore, CEO of Coatsink said “Esper is where the VR journey began for Coatsink and it holds a dear place in our hearts. Having Oculus approach us in the early days of modern day VR and trust our then small team to build and create an acclaimed VR game for Gear VR was nothing short of incredible.
For more on the upcoming game, check out below for a brief overview of Esper, courtesy of Coatsink:
Esper is a puzzle game set entirely in a single room. As one of a small number of citizens who have been endowed with the power to move objects with their minds, you have been enrolled by the government to undertake a series of tests to show that you are in control of your powers. Use your psychic abilities to solve increasingly challenging tests and demonstrate that, despite the concerns, you are not a threat to the fragile fabric of society.
Esper will launch on June 29, 2018 for PlayStation VR.
