PlayStation VR remains one of the indiest items in the modern PlayStation family but at the end of the day it all comes down to the games and experiences they provide. VR definitely offers something unique so the more games the merrier. On that note, PlayStation UK took to Twitter and reminded us that there’s a lot to be happy about:

Here’s a breakdown of the 13 games featured in this PSVR promotional trailer:
- Firewall Zero Hour: A 4 vs. 4, online, team-based tactical shooter. The game will feature nine maps at launch across three regions: Russia, United Kingdom, and the Middle East. The game includes three modes: single player training, multiplayer training, and competitive multiplayer. Don’t miss our hands-on preview.
- Creed: Rise to Glory: Releasing this fall, you’ll be training with Rocky himself. Pick up the move controllers and become Adonis Creed just in time for the release of Creed II (the movie).
- Beat Saber: Get ready for some Jedi rhythm action (This isn’t a Star Wars game but if there are light sabers involved then I’m a Jedi; it’s simple mathematics). Wielding the PS Move controllers you’ll be slashing through colored cubes, synchronized to a pulsing beat.
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission: VR platformers pose a unique challenge for developers but Japan Studio brings players into the experience by creating a sort of co-op experience between your character on screen and you. You’ll have to make your standard jumps on screen but you’ll also have to do things like smash signs with your forehead. It sounds similar to the relationship between Rayman and Murfy in Rayman Legends in that regard.
- Ghost Giant: From the makers of Fe and Flipping Death comes this VR puzzle game. In it, you’re a giant ghost (unsurprisingly) and your goal is to protect a lonely little boy, named Louis. Don’t miss our hands-on preview.
- The Persistence: Get ready to die often is this roguelike because it’s a roguelike. You play as a security officer aboard a colony ship. A malfunction occurs, leaving you to fend off mutated copies of your ex-shipmates; start shooting.
- Wolfenstein Cyberpilot: There’s nothing like an existing, successful franchise getting a VR title. In addition to Wolfenstein Young Blood, we are getting this VR game. Here you play as a resistance hacker on a mission to tear apart the Nazi forces in Paris using their own machines.
- Dark Eclipse: Two niches intersect to create this VR MOBA. The coolest part of this game is your ability to grab and move characters directly. And, since you can look around the battlefield yourself, there’s no need for a mini-map. You can play this with either the PlayStation Move controllers or the DualShock 4.
- Déraciné: Most known for action RPGS like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, From Software is now bringing us a VR title. Déraciné is an adventure game that follows an “unseen faerie” who explores the school and is mysteriously frozen in time. French for uprooted, Déraciné seems to draw heavily on its environment and has fantastical yet dark undertones to it. Check out our previous post about what kind of experience awaits players in this game.
- Tetris Effect: A new take on a classic game, Tetris Effect gives you a fully three-dimensional world that reacts and evolves based on how you play. Music, backgrounds, sounds, special effects, and even the pieces themselves, pulse, dance, shimmer, and explode in perfect sync with how you’re playing. The game also features an all-new Zone mechanic where players can temporarily stop time and get additional line clears past the traditional four maximum.
- Trover Saves The Universe: Created by Rick and Morty’s Justin Roiland this 3D platformer has you teaming up with Trover to save some puppies because that’s a narrative we can all get behind. Don’t miss our hands-on preview.
- Salary Man Escape: Speaking of narratives we can relate to, Salary Man Escape is painfully relatable. This satirical physics based puzzle game is all about helping disgruntled Salaryman escape his life. Featuring six chapters and 78 levels, you’re going to need to call off and put those eight hours into this video game.
- Blood & Truth: This shooter is guaranteed to feature a lot of blood and probably some truth as well. You play as elite Special Forces soldier Ryan Marks, on a desperate mission to save his family from a ruthless criminal overlord. So grab your PS Move controllers and start shooting your way through this narrative, inspired by PlayStation VR Worlds’ The London Heist. Don’t miss our hands-on preview.
