When Final Fantasy XIV came to Monster Hunter: World, it literally brought with it a behemoth of a boss. The Behemoth is one of the most deadly monsters found in the game’s world. There’s also an even tougher version of the boss fight for those extra-courageous, known as the “extreme” version, and one team has managed to conquer it in less than five minutes.
A video posted by YouTube user “Catherine” chronicled the historic feat. Honestly, it’s a sight to behold:
The team employed a simple, yet difficult to master, strategy. Heavy Bowguns equipped with special ammo that inflicts sleep on the Behemoth were used. A sleeping enemy takes more damage when awakened, so this was used to chip away at its HP. This might sound easy, but it takes a lot of practice to execute successfully. Timing needs to be perfect to master this technique, and one slip up can be deadly.
The team also manages to make a quick pit stop at their camp to refuel, making their time even more of an accomplishment. But now that the Behemoth has been slain in record time, what comes next for Monster Hunter: World? There may be no “Ultimate” version of the game planned, but considering its massive success, we may see Capcom invest in this game for some time.
Monster Hunter: World is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
