PowerPyx, the website responsible for incredibly helpful trophy guides, has confirmed the length of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s storyline. The story for the latest Assassin’s Creed adventure may take upwards of forty hours to complete.
PowerPyx posted the following about the game’s length:
It took me 41 hours to finish the story. I ended up at Level 37 of 50. I listened to most dialogues but skipped some (especially in side quests). You have to do a lot of side quests to level up. There are huge level gaps between some story quests and side quests are the only good way to get XP. Besides, they also reveal locations to new Cultists so you have to do them anyway.
Apparently, you can rush through the story by skipping dialogue. In doing so, PowerPyx posited, you may be able to roll credits in approximately thirty hours. Interestingly, the 41 hours of playtime also takes fully uncovering the map into account. This task, which is likely arduous given the map’s size, lasts about five to six hours.
PowerPyx’s post also offered insight about the function of leveling in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. In an hour of playtime, with the completion of four to six quests, you’ll level up at least once. Leveling up to 50 could take fifty hours or more, if XP Boosters aren’t in use.
Based on PowerPyx’s account, AC Odyssey seems longer than Origins, whose story offered a thirty hour experience on average. Because Odyssey has so much extra content that lies beyond the main narrative, enjoying every aspect of the game could easily have the playtime clock stop at the 100 hour mark. Obviously, this will only become more expansive when Ubisoft Quebec begins rolling out Odyssey’s planned downloadable content.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches on the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 5, 2018.
