Soulcalibur VI may be nearing it’s October 19, 2018 release date, but there are apparently still some secrets to be discovered. During the 2018 Tokyo Game Show, some players got to try out the Soulcalibur VI story mode, Soul Chronicle. Those who made it past level 20 of the demo were greeted with a notification that they had “acquired character ‘Inferno.'”
According to reports, Inferno is a mimic character who is able to copy the movesets of other characters. Of course, Bandai Namco has yet to fully confirm Inferno’s presence as a playable character, though the company did put out the demo. He is a long-running boss character and the main antagonist for most of the games in the series.
Including Inferno on the playable roster would certainly be notable. He would join fellow newcomer Azwel on the battlefield. Recently, fan-favorites such as Cervantes and Raphael were also confirmed to be joining the roster. Another fan-favorite, Tira, is joining the fight, though she is (controversially) a DLC character. Raphael was the last fighter to be announced (outside of DLC, of course), meaning the roster may essentially be full, save for some surprises, like Inferno.
Soulcalibur VI releases on October 19, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Do you think Inferno would be a worthy addition to the Soulcalibur VI lineup? Let us know!
