Man, the Soulcalibur VI marketing and social teams just can’t catch a break. Whether fans are leaking content from events, or social media posts are popping off at the wrong times, announcements just keep showing up ahead of schedule for Soulcalibur VI. This time, a tweet from the official Soulcalibur account, which has since been deleted, let us know an open network test for the game is about to drop for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
Here’s what the tweet said, courtesy of Game Informer:
Warriors, prepare yourself for online battles on PS4 & X1! You are invited to help us test our online network for SOULCALIBUR VI. Login and play RANKED MATCH mode!
Download the #SOULCALIBUR VI network test on September 27th and draw your weapons on September 28th at 8AM PDT.
Game Informer also has additional information, presumably in a video that was accompanying the tweet. Reportedly, the network test runs through September 30, 2018 at 8:00 pm PT. The build will have 15 characters, and 9 stages.
Soulcalibur VI is set to release on October 19, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC. Ostensibly, there is no PC beta test, unless a separate one comes along after the console test is finished running.
