Hong Kong-based company eastasiasoft has asked PlayStation Vita developers to pitch them their projects should they wish to publish them on the handheld.
The independent developer and publisher took to Twitter to make the offer for games that are releasing in late 2018 or 2019.
Vita developers. You are working on a game that’s coming out late 2018 or 2019 and would like to publish a physical edition of your game in 2019? Send us a pitch to contact@eastasiasoft.com#PSVita #vitaisland #gamedev

Responses came quickly, with indie developer Pixel.lu mentioning that it was contemplating physical releases for Bobby Bombastic and Plutonium Pirates. When one user asked if Omega Labyrinth Z was out of question, eastasiasoft said that the issue was “too sensitive” to be considered. “We never looked into it and most likely would not publish it if offered,” said the company.
In case you haven’t been following Omega Labyrinth Z, Sony blocked its Western release on the PlayStation 4 due to its controversial content, much to the dismay of fans awaiting the game’s arrival.
In a separate tweet, eastasiasoft responded to a question regarding the recently-cancelled Vita port of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, noting that cards are still being produced in Japan (where Bloodstained studio is based) and that the developers have “made their decision.”
What do our readers make of this?
